Neowiz, the developer behind the action role-playing game, Lies of P, has trademarked “Wonders of O” in a new company filing.
The trademark (via shinobi602 on Twitter/X) was filed with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) on September 10, 2026. The application is currently listed as “Application under examination,” meaning that the trademark has not yet been registered or approved. Lies of P developer Neowiz is listed as the owner of the “Wonders of O” trademark application.
While the filing does not reveal what “Wonders of O” is intended for, its listed categories provide some interesting clues. The trademark covers Nice classes 9 and 41, with class 9 including video game software, downloadable electronic game programs, virtual reality game software, interactive multimedia software, mobile games, video game discs and cartridges, and other downloadable digital content. Class 41 expands beyond the games themselves. It includes online gaming and entertainment services, amusement arcade services, competitions, electronic publications, comic books and graphic novels, as well as the production and distribution of cartoons and animated cartoons.
The name “Wonders of O” indicates a connection to The Wizard of Oz, a classic work of children’s literature and fantasy that has been adapted into other mediums. Neowiz’s prior title, Lies of P, also falls in the same category, as both stories are foundational fairy tales focused on a journey of self-discovery, transformation, and the quest for a soul or humanity. More importantly, the ending of Lies of P features a post-credits scene revealing a cameo by Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, setting up a transition into Oz’s lore for a sequel.
Lies of P was released on September 18, 2023, across macOS, Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5, followed by a Nintendo Switch 2 version on August 6, 2026. For an in-depth look at the game, check out our review here.
