RedFall Gameplay Leaks Online; Reviews Allegedly Set to Arrive After Launch

by Ali Haider

RedFall has received a mixed reception so far based on the early previews and gameplay footage, but fans will have to wait until after launch to get a better idea of the game’s quality.

RedFall is Arkane’s latest game following the launch of Deathloop. It is a brand new co-op shooter that places the player in a world dominated by vampires resulting from a freak experiment. The game was criticized for the lack of a 60 FPS mode on Xbox Series consoles at launch; however, it has been confirmed that this mode will be released in a post-launch update.

While RedFall is not out until May 2, the game appears to be in the hands of some YouTubers based on a set of leaked videos. The first set of videos seems to showcase the Xbox Series X version, which was confirmed to be running at 30 FPS. Sadly, most of the videos have been removed, and only a small amount of footage is available. These videos were likely taken down due to their creators breaking the embargo.

Another video appears to have showcased the PC version of the game. This one was supposedly running on an RTX 3070 and showcased someone who had played around 20 hours of the game. According to the YouTuber who uploaded this review, the game had a good story, but the gameplay felt outdated. The review has been made private, but not before users were able to provide a summary, including a 6/10 score from this reviewer.

The RedFall review embargo has been reported to be set for May 1st at 5:00 PM PST, and this appears to be standard practice when it comes to Bethesda products. They usually have launch day review embargoes even if the game is good, but this has been used as a sign that RedFall might not review that well.

RedFall will be released on May 2 for PC and Xbox Series consoles. It will also make its debut on Xbox and PC Game Pass on the same day.
