Ruined King: A League of Legends Story Gets PEGI Rating, Release Date Possibly Soon

Ruined King: A League of Legends Story has received a rating from PEGI which suggests that the game is due for a release date soon.

On the official Steam page of the game, we can see that it is still listed for a release in 2021. There is no release date given by the developers but the recent rating by PEGI could prove that the game is out soon, or could at least get a release date.

The PEGI rating describes the game as featuring strong violence. It has a 16 PEGI rating suggesting it is only suitable for people over the age of 16.

Brief outline of the game

Narrative role-playing adventure set in the fantasy world of Runeterra. The player controls several League of Legends characters as they fight against a dark power.

Content-specific issues

This game contains infrequent depictions of realistic violence towards human-like characters. One notable scene shows a man on his knees, following a battle, after which the winner of the battle pulls out a pistol and shoots the man dead. There is no blood or injury detail, although the body realistically falls to the floor, remaining visible until the scene ends. Other examples of realistic violence include a man being executed by drowning and a number of enemies who are killed with firearms. While there are no audible reactions, the physical reactions are realistic in nature.

Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is developed by Airship Syndicate who has worked on Battle Chasers: Nightwar. It looks more like a JRPG set in the League of Legends universe. It has been rated for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch.
