Rumor: F2P Battle Royale Game “Apex Legends” Set In Titanfall Universe Out On Monday

Respawn Entertainment and EA might release a new Titanfall game called Apex Legends. This is according to a new rumor that alleges that this a free-to-play Battle Royale game set in the Titanfall universe.

First of all, EA has indeed trademarked “Project Apex” and “Apex Legends” under their company name. The publisher also talked about Respawn Entertainment’s output in 2019 saying that they will release “multiple games” by Holiday 2019. One of these could be this rumored Titanfall Battle Royale game. It was first shared by YouTube Channel The Quartering.

Now the interesting portion of the rumor is regarding the game itself. The pitch for this has been described as “Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Blackout meets Rainbow Six Siege” which sounds interesting in theory. It just depends on how the free-to-play model is used here and whether the monetization model of the game affects the gameplay balance or if it is purely cosmetic.

While this will be set in the same Titanfall universe, it won’t really feel like a proper Titanfall game. This game is allegedly already available to play for the top streamers and other influencers who are under embargo from EA not to disclose any information for it. They will supposedly reveal the game today so if this rumor is indeed true, we will find out in a few hours.
