Sesame Street: Friends & Fun is now available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Developed in collaboration between Outright Games and Sesame Workshop, the game marks Sesame Street’s first major console release in 15 years.
Players can create a customisable character and explore the neighbourhood while helping its residents prepare for the Big Block Party. The adventure features three locations inspired by Sesame Street, including the Community Garden, Bandstand, Farm, Park and Fun Fair, each offering activities and challenges.
Familiar characters such as Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Grover, Cookie Monster, Ernie, Bert, Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch, The Count and Tango appear throughout the game. Activities include cooking with Cookie Monster, helping Abby with magic, caring for Tango and looking after mischievous chickens.
Sesame Street: Friends & Fun features more than 100 mini-games and activities designed to encourage learning through play. These include shape tracing, counting, sorting and problem-solving, alongside creative challenges aimed at younger players.
Customisation options extend beyond the player’s character, allowing children to design their own home and decorate parts of the neighbourhood with different clothing, furniture and decorative items. The game also features intuitive controls and supports solo play or two-player local co-op, allowing children to explore with a friend or family member.
Created with younger audiences in mind, the game focuses on kindness, creativity, community and early learning, drawing on the educational approach associated with Sesame Street.
