Silent Hill 2 Remake Voice Actors Hint At Born From A Wish DLC

by Muhammad Ali Bari

The voice actors behind James Sunderland and Maria in Konami Digital Entertainment and Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 remake, have hinted at the existence of the Born From a Wish DLC.

During a recent live stream, James Sunderland and Maria voice actors Luke Roberts and Salome Gunnarsdottir strongly hinted that they are working together once again with Bloober Team on something that’s “on the horizon”, likely to be the Born From a Wish DLC for the Silent Hill 2 remake. “I think you’ll find us soon. I don’t want to say too much, but I think you will,” said Roberts, addressing the audience.

During an earlier live stream, Gunnarsdottir mentioned that she was not approached by Konami or Bloober Team for the Born From a Wish DLC. Things appear to have changed since then.

Known insider and horror game enthusiast AestheticGamer1 (aka Dusk Golem) chimed in on this, saying he knows for a fact that the Born From a Wish DLC was in development since last year. However, he speculated that the expansion may have changed shape and form, and received a new title in order to give it its own identity due to how different it was becoming from the original. He added that he’ll have the opportunity to dig into inside information in this regard sometime in November.

Last month, the same insider had claimed that Bloober Team is preparing a patch that will optimize the game for the PS55 Pro, while also working on new DLC.  For those unfamiliar, Born From a Wish shifts the perspective from James Sunderland to Maria, exploring her story prior to the events of the main game. The scenario depicts her struggle with despair, her encounter with Ernest Baldwin in a secluded mansion, and ultimately her decision to continue seeking James.

The Silent Hill 2 remake is available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC.
