Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds has added free content featuring Axel from Crazy Taxi, allowing players to race as the iconic taxi driver and use his signature Devolada Yellow Jack vehicle. The content drop is available now for owners of the game’s Standard and Digital Deluxe editions.
The free Axel Content Drop adds Axel as a playable character alongside the Devolada Yellow Jack. Players will also receive special emotes and sounds, including the Axel: Character Select and Axel: Result tracks, which are available through the game’s Jukebox.
Players can also participate in the festival period to earn points that can be exchanged for additional content such as decals and gadgets. The festival is scheduled to run from August 27 at 5:00 PM PT through August 30 at 4:59 PM PT.
The Axel Content Drop is automatically available to players who own either the physical or digital Standard Edition or the Digital Deluxe Edition of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. Players will need to update the game to its latest version for the content to download correctly.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is currently available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC, with the game priced from $69.99. It is also available on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch OLED Model and Nintendo Switch Lite from $59.99.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is available both physically and digitally for $69.99.
