Sony Reveals New PS Plus Subscription Tiers With 700+ Games

Sony has announced new subscription tiers for the PS Plus service bringing in more content to it and adding backward compatible games as well.

In a blog post by PlayStation, they revealed the details on the two additional premium tiers for PS Plus subscribers. They are also removing PlayStation Now going forward and it will be merged with the medium-priced PS Plus subscription tier.

Here are the details on the new subscription tiers offered by Sony for all the PS Plus subscribers.

PlayStation Plus Essential

• Benefits: 
  • Provides the same benefits that PlayStation Plus members are getting today, such as:
    • Two monthly downloadable games
    • Exclusive discounts
    • Cloud storage for saved games
    • Online multiplayer access
  • There are no changes for existing PlayStation Plus members in this tier.

  • Time-limited game trials will also be offered in this tier, so customers can try select games before they buy.

If you already have a PS Plus subscription, you will automatically get subscribed to PlayStation Plus Essential tiers. If you have a PlayStation Now subscription, you will get the PlayStation Plus Extra tier and if you have PS Plus and PS Now, you will get the PlayStation Premium Tier.
