Spider-Man In Avengers Compared To Insomniac’s Spider-Man In a New Comparison

by Salal Awan

Marvel’s Spider-Man is considered one of the best superhero games so when Spider-Man was revealed for Avengers, it was bound to draw comparisons.

This comparison is interesting in that sense that both games are made by two different studios and thus show a different approach to creating their characters. While Marvel’s Spider-Man is an open-world game, Avengers offers linear levels so it should be theoretically able to offer a highly-detailed character model.

The costumes are going to be different but what is interesting is how the animations have been simplified. The biggest issue that most fans have with the game is how Spider-Man web-swinging is limited, but this was always expected considering the different approaches to design for both games.

Other changes that are in Spider-Man for Marvel’s Avengers include animations that don’t blend well with the action. They look fluid in motion in Insomniac’s Spider-Man games but we can’t say the same for Avengers.

It is a no-brainer that Spider-Man looks a lot better in the take by Insomniac Games. We do know that Crystal Dynamics didn’t have a bigger budget since this was always going to be an exclusive character for PlayStation which is why it lacks a proper story mode unlike other characters like Black Panther and Hawk-Eye. You can grab Spider-Man as part of a new update that is out now.
