Spider-Man: Miles Morales Loading Is Insanely Fast On PS5
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will use the SSD on PS5 to render at insanely fast load times as seen in a new leaked video.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is currently being reviewed by the press and has an embargo set for next month. Someone has uploaded a video of the game starting from a cold boot on PS5 and then loading a save and it shows some crazy load times.

In the video, that was archived on Imgur (via reddit), the load times are crazy fast. The loading is actually instant so there is a barely visible load screen that is a–blink and miss it–moment (Mirror for the video).
This shows how fast the PS5 is compared to the current-generation consoles. Currently, we don’t really have a frame of reference when it comes to comparing the load times for PS5 to the PS4. Miles Morales is also available for the PS4 and there are reports of retail copies out in the wild, but there is no such load times video available as of yet.
When the PS5 was first announced, there was a demo showcasing the original Marvel’s Spider-Man. At that time, PS5’s lead architect, Mark Cerny promised that the new SSD tech will offer fast load times that are not possible on the current-generation consoles or PC for that matter. This has been finally seen in action with the load times on Miles Morales.
