Star Wars Jedi: Survivor HDR Issues on PS5 – Here’s How to Fix It

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been reported to encounter HDR issues on PS5. Here’s a temporary fix to help address the problem.

Unlike its predecessor, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is exclusive to the current generation. The previous installment initially launched on PS4 and Xbox One and was later upgraded to PS5 and Xbox Series. The game’s high demands are evident, especially on PC, and it has suffered from poor performance across almost all platforms.

For the PS5 version, there’s an additional drawback: the HDR implementation. If you’re playing the game on an OLED TV with HDR enabled, consider the following steps to address the issue.

How to Fix HDR Issues in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor:

To resolve the problem, access your PS5 settings. If you’re playing on an LG OLED TV, you might notice the crushed blacks that significantly impair the image quality. The following trick should help.

In the game’s settings menu, navigate to the “Adjust HDR” option. Proceed through the test settings screens as usual until you reach the third one, “Black Point.” Simply increase the level by a single digit. It’s important to note that you should not alter the other two settings that appear on the screen during the initial stage of HDR adjustment—only modify the “Black Point” setting for HDR.

This solution has reportedly resolved or improved the issue for many users, and it should do the same for you. However, if the problem persists, consider exploring alternative fixes, such as the one detailed in the video below.

These steps should hopefully help you resolve the issue with the faulty HDR implementation of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on the PS5. As of now, this problem doesn’t seem to affect the Xbox Series or PC versions.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is now available for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
