Star Wars Jedi Survivor Given Mature Rating By Australian Classification Board

Star Wars Jedi Survivor has been given a rating by the Australian Classification Board. This applies to the PC and PS5 versions of the game.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor is the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. It stars Cal Kestis and is set five years after its predecessor. The game’s events take place at the same time as the Obi-Wan Kenobi series that premiered on Disney Plus.

The Australian Classification Board has given the game a mature rating for “science fiction violence”. According to their ratings, the game has a moderate impact in themes and violence, and a mild impact in language. This is a pretty tame rating compared to some of the other games.

The story of Cal Kestis continues in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor™, a third-person, galaxy-spanning, action-adventure game from Respawn Entertainment, developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. This narratively driven, single-player title picks up 5 years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order™ and follows Cal’s increasingly desperate fight as the galaxy descends further into darkness. Pushed to the edges of the galaxy by the Empire, Cal will find himself surrounded by threats new and familiar. As one of the last surviving Jedi Knights, Cal is driven to make a stand during the galaxy’s darkest times — but how far is he willing to go to protect himself, his crew, and the legacy of the Jedi Order?

The game is available to pre-order on PS5, Xbox One, and PC.  The Standard Edition is priced at $69.99 while the Deluxe Edition is expensive at $89.99. However, it also comes with additional bonus content.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor will launch on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC only. Unlike Fallen Order, there is no PS4 or Xbox One version of the game this time. It is being developed by Respawn Entertainment and will be published by EA. The first game had apparently sold more than 20 million copies, which is a big number for a single-player, story-driven game. It is expected that Jedi Survivor will follow the same success.
