Star Wars Outlaws Original Lead Character Design Revealed In Leaked Concept Trailer

The original character design for the lead character in Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment’s upcoming action adventure game, Star Wars Outlaws, has been leaked.

Twitter/X user 404LEAK_ has shared a concept trailer for Star Wars Outlaws, which reveals an early look at the character design for the game’s protagonist, Kay Vess. The leaked trailer (see below) states that the footage shown is pre-alpha and not representative of the game’s final quality.

As is the case with most leaked trailers, the video containing pre-alpha footage from Star Wars Outlaws isn’t of particularly good quality. Therefore, a direct comparison between the leaked footage and official trailers is not possible. However, it is possible to see the different gameplay mechanics and features that will be featured in Star Wars Outlaws.

Previously, during an interview, Navid Khavari, the narrative director of Star Wars: Outlaws, had shared that the game follows the Battle of Hoth at a time when The Empire is ruling the galaxy with an iron fist. He explained that he worked closely with Lucasfilm to finalize the game’s setting. Ultimately, Ubisoft developer Massive Entertainment and Lucasfilm settled on the the year between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Regarding plot details, he said that the rebels are on the back foot, and while everyone is caught up and somewhat distracted by the ongoing civil unrest, there’s a vacuum that creates the perfect opportunity for the underworld to rise and gain power out of sight of Imperial rule.

Khavari revealed that Jabba the Hutt will be featured as a quest giver in Star Wars: Outlaws, with players having the choice of becoming another of his reliable foot soldiers or going renegade. Players can use quests with each of the syndicates to manage protagonist Kay Vess‘ reputation, which will impact the jobs they offer and the impact they’ll have throughout the story. Every player will have a different profile with each of the syndicates based on how they’ve interacted with them over the course of her journey. Kay will also have access to a ship, The Trailblazer, and they’ll be able to fly it into hyperspace.
