Update 2.0 for Bethesda Game Studios’ action role-playing game, Starfield, is set to address common complaints such as load screens, based on information gathered from an alleged behind-closed-doors presentation.
Multiple sources have claimed that Bethesda Game Studios recently invited members of the press and content creators to attend a presentation on upcoming content for Starfield, including a 2.0 update. Some of those who attended the presentation are excited for the game’s future, while others have warned that while things are undoubtedly being improved, expectations should be tempered as the update isn’t on the scale of Cyberpunk 2077 2.0.
As per the information gathered, Bethesda Game Studios has a number of improvements coming to Starfield via its 2.0 update that are specifically aimed at addressing the most common complaints like load screens. Traces of some of these improvements have been spotted via a data mine of the game’s files.
As for the release schedule, sources claim that both update 2.0 and DLC content for Starfield will be arriving later than expected. Though, an actual release window has yet to be shared.
Last month, Spanish influencer oskar1up, who is known for covering Bethesda’s titles, shared a cryptic Twitter/X post that may have been hinting at the aforementioned behind-closed-doors Starfield presentation. The content creator stated, “I’ll just say that today I’ve seen little things. I have to keep silent. I’d love to tell more but I can’t. Let’s remember that NDAs are there for a reason. I’ll pretend to know nothing. I’ll ignore what I’ve seen today. I’ll wait for the right moment. After that, I’ll give more details.” He also made a comment on the Reddit post, clarifying that he has indeed been able to see new content that will be released for Starfield in the future. “The non-disclosure agreement states that we can say we received a preview from Bethesda Game Studios about what’s coming to the game and that we can share more information in the future when we’re given the go-ahead.”
