Starfield has returned to the top of the US weekly sales chart, marking its first time leading since 2023. According to Circana data shared by industry analyst Mat Piscatella, the game ranked as the best-selling title in tracked physical and digital full game dollar sales for the week ending April 11, 2026.
Piscatella noted that this is the first time Starfield has reached the number one position since the week ending September 2, 2023. The renewed performance follows the game’s recent expansion to PlayStation 5, which launched on April 7 alongside new content updates.
“The PlayStation 5 version of Starfield released on April 7th, coinciding with the Free Lanes and Terran Armada content updates,” Piscatella stated, linking the release timing to the surge in sales activity.
Originally developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks, Starfield first launched in September 2023 for Windows and Xbox Series X and S. The game is set in a large-scale space environment within the Milky Way, where players join the Constellation group to uncover hidden artifacts across numerous planets.
The PlayStation 5 release represents a significant expansion of the game’s audience, and the latest sales data suggests that the move has had an immediate impact on its commercial performance.
