Stellar Blade developer Shift Up has shared an early concept for the game, showcasing a vastly different looking version of protagonist Eve.
The official Twitter/X account for Sony Interactive Entertainment and Shift Up’s action adventure game, Stellar Blade, has shared a concept video from the early days of development, showing what Eve looked like back then.

The aforementioned early concept version of Stellar Blade protagonist, Eve, can be seen below.
As is evident from the above screenshots, the earlier design for Eve sported a completely different look compared to the version seen in the final game. The official Twitter/X account for Stellar Blade noted that the earlier version of the character depicts a little more “animated exaggeration” compared to the final character model. It is likely referring to the more amine-inspired look of the original design in comparison to the final version of Eve. The developer may have been looking to create a more distinct look for the protagonist, as opposed to something generic.
Given how Shift Up has supported Stellar Blade post-launch with many new outfits and cosmetics for Eve, it would be nice to see this early version of the protagonist also become available as a playable skin via a future DLC.
Stellar Blade is available exclusively for PS5, though a PC version is currently in development. During a Q&A session after its financial report back in August, 2024, Shift Up was asked about the possible release of Stellar Blade on additional platforms. The developer responded by sharing that it is working on a PC version of the action adventure title, and that the company expects it to be more successful than its console counterpart. It was also revealed that the workforce at Shift Up would increase to 420 employees by the end of the year 2025.
