Stellar Blade PC Version In Development, Dev Expects It To Be More Successful Than Console

The PC version of action adventure game Stellar Blade is currently in development, and developer Shift Up expects it to be more successful than the console version.

In a Q&A during its financial report (via) for the second quarter of the current fiscal year, Shift Up revealed that Stellar Blade generated over $19 million US Dollars for the company. However, due to a revenue-sharing contract with PlayStation, not all sales have been accounted for by Shift Up.

During the Q&A session, Shift Up was asked regarding the release of Stellar Blade on additional platforms. The developer responded by sharing that it is working on a PC version and that the company expects it to be more successful than its console counterpart. The company also shared that Project Witches is gradually getting closer to its eventual reveal sometime during 2025. It was also revealed that the workforce at Shift Up is set to increase to 420 employees by the end of next year.

Whether the PC version of Stellar Blade outsells the PS5 version remains to be seen, though developer Shift Up appears to be confident in its success, likely due to the possibility of high sales in the local Korean and Chinese markets.

Previously, a secret location in Stellar Blade appeared to tease the arrival of future DLC content. The game features a locked door located just outside the survivor safe house in Matrix 11. So far, no one has been able to figure out how to open it. When trying to examine it, Adam notes that the drone’s hacking level is not high enough to access the area. This suggests that the game may receive new DLC content in the future that will be accessible via the aforementioned door. Furthermore, an optional mission featured in Stellar Blade has Eve meet a man in a Xion sewer tunnel who was ordered in secret to hand over a box to her, but he doesn’t mention who it’s from and there’s no in-game passcode available to open it. Another mission has Eve receive a damaged device that doesn’t appear to serve any purpose. Both of these items may be connected to future DLC.
