The new gameplay footage from Metroid Prime 4: Beyond can be seen in the following unlisted YouTube videos.

The boss fights featured in the above videos are against a plant-like creature called Carvex and a spherical object known as Xelios. It appears that precise aiming will play a larger role during boss battles compared to prior entries.

Recently, Kiwi Talkz, a content creator known for interviews with current and former Retro Studios employees, claimed that Metroid Prime 4: Beyond has reached a budget of around 100 million dollars. He took to Twitter/X to state, “Prime 1 cost about $10 million dollars to make, Prime 4 is costing about $100 million to make. This game needs to sell between 4.5 – 5 million to break even.” When asked how the figure was obtained, he simply responded, “I’ve been told that.” HIs statement has yet to be corroborated by Nintendo.

Earlier, the game received an official age rating of 14+ in Brazil. According to the classification report, violent acts, weapons combat, and moments of intentional death were cited as concerns, with the latter becoming the decisive factor in pushing the rating into the 14+ bracket. Other elements, such as blood and corpse exposure, were noted but described as low in frequency. The analysis also mentioned that the game’s more graphic content was softened by its sci-fi setting, where fantasy context helps mitigate impact.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is slated for release on December 4, 2025, for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2
