Tales of Berseria Remastered Scheduled for Release in February 2026

by Greg Martin

Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe has confirmed that Tales of Berseria Remastered will be released on 27 February 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, PC through Steam, and Nintendo Switch. The title is the third entry in the publisher’s ongoing Tales of Remastered Project, which brings earlier installments of the long-running role-playing franchise to modern platforms.

According to the announcement, the remaster revisits the original 2017 game, which follows Velvet Crowe, a central character whose story revolves around loss, betrayal, and revenge. The publisher stated that the narrative once again places players in a world where opposing views on emotion and rationality shape the conflict. These details reflect the themes of the original release, though no expanded story content was outlined.

Bandai Namco reported that the remastered version will introduce several quality of life adjustments. The listed additions include destination icons intended to make navigation clearer, a toggle to control the frequency of enemy encounters, and earlier access to the grade shop, a feature used for character upgrades. These changes are presented as efforts to streamline progression for returning players and newcomers. The announcement did not specify whether any gameplay systems outside these areas have been reworked.

The publisher also stated that the remaster will integrate downloadable content previously released for the game. This includes costume sets, bonus items, and other optional features originally sold separately. However, the company did not provide a full breakdown of which items are included or whether any content has been altered for this edition.

Tales of Berseria Remastered is positioned as part of Bandai Namco’s broader initiative to update entries in the Tales of franchise for current hardware. No information was provided regarding visual improvements, performance targets, or changes to cutscene presentation. Further technical details would clarify how this release differs from the original version beyond quality of life enhancements.

The game is scheduled for launch on 27 February 2026 across all announced platforms. Bandai Namco has not indicated whether a physical edition will be offered or whether preorders will include additional incentives.
