According to PlayStation Game Size on Twitter, the game has just received update 1.01 for the PS4 and PS5 consoles. But that’s not all; according to the PlayStation database, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder’s Revenge is set for release on June 16, 2022.

While PlayStation Game Size indicates that it may be a place-holder, there is further evidence that confirms that June 16, 2022 is in fact the release date for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder’s Revenge. The store page for the game on both the Korean PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop now state June 16 as the release date. It’s highly unlikely for it to be a place-holder on both digital stores, and, therefore, it looks like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans will be getting their hands on the game very soon.
Shredder’s Revenge is a pixelated action brawler with a side-scrolling gameplay. The player controls Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, Raphael, April O’Neil, and Master Splinter as they fight the Foot Clan, Krang, Bebop, and Rocksteady, and Shredder in settings ranging from New York City sewers to Dimension X. Each character has unique abilities (range, speed, and power) and plays in a unique way. They also have their own special taunts and super powers. As the player proceeds through each stage, they will come across pizza boxes that can be used to heal the player, as well as other pies that offer increased power and endless supers for a limited time.
There are two modes in the game: a standard arcade mode as well as a story mode. In arcade mode, players have a limited number of lives and must complete the game in one sitting. Players may exchange earned points for health, more lives, additional fighting moves, and a unique feature called Radical Mode, which temporarily improves the player character’s battle powers. Each stage features optional side material, challenges, and collectibles in story mode. In addition to the single-player mode, the game features four-player cooperative multiplayer locally or online. Players may exchange health by high-fiving one other, or they can team up to accomplish particular moves.
