Bandai Namco has released TEKKEN 8 update version 3.00.00, marking the start of Season 3 with extensive gameplay adjustments and new content. The update focuses on refining character balance, reworking the Heat system, and improving overall competitive fairness, particularly in ranked matches.
Alongside gameplay changes, the update introduces new items in the TEKKEN Shop, expanded customization options, and multiple quality of life improvements across modes. Several system-level tweaks also aim to streamline matchmaking, enhance practice functionality, and improve replay features.

Rank Reset

Rank Point System Changes
- Adjusted rank point thresholds for promotion and demotion
- Updated rank point gain and loss values per match

Demotion Adjustments
- Demotion now requires two consecutive losses below threshold

- Improved input buffering at round start allowing button inputs to override movement
- Adjusted backward input behavior to prioritize walking instead of jumping
- Fixed issues with Heat Burst causing unintended airborne states
- Fixed positional inconsistencies near walls
- Resolved issues with Tornado and Low Tornado interactions near walls
- Fixed aerial tailspin recovery issues
- Corrected wake-up attack direction inconsistencies during side roll
