The First Descendant update 1.011 was released for PS5 today. The official patch version is 1.0.4 for PC and consoles.
Hotfix 1.0.4 for The First Descendant introduces several content improvements and adjustments to enhance the overall gameplay experience. The module storage limit has been increased from 1000 to 1500, allowing players more space for their items. The “Vulgus Strategic Outpost” cooldown has been significantly reduced from 5 minutes to 1 minute, and the monster respawn time has been increased while adjusting the reward amount to balance gameplay. Void Fragments now drop when defeating monsters in Special Operations, with the highest drop rate occurring in the “Neutralize Void Experiment.” Additionally, using the “Mark for Arrest” item from Special Operations now grants a substantial gold reward, significantly increasing its value.
Director Joo Min-seok also provides insights into future updates, explaining that adjustments have been made to ensure the Valby run remains a popular hunting ground. The cooldowns for all outposts have been shortened, enabling more frequent gameplay without deliberate failures. Gold rewards have been added to Special Operations, and Void Fragments now drop randomly, encouraging players to explore various hunting grounds.
