It’s unclear what the online functionality pertains to. It may be limited to just cloud saves or leaderboards. On the other hand, it could be a more elaborate asynchronous online feature involving other players. Nintendo has yet to confirm anything on this front.

Previously, it was revealed that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has been rated E10+ by the ESRB over fantasy violence and suggestive themes.

According to Nintendo’s official web store page for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the game has been rated E10+ by the ESRB. Details regarding the rating aren’t yet available, though key points include fantasy violence and mild suggestive themes. This doesn’t come as a surprise, as the previous entry in The Legend of Zelda series, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, had also received the same rating back in 2017.

As per the ESRB ratings guide, games that receive an E10+ rating contain content that is generally suitable for ages 10 and above. They may contain more cartoon, fantasy or mild violence, mild language, and/or minimal suggestive themes.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the latest action-adventure game in The Legend of Zelda series that is developed and published by Nintendo. It is the follow-up to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (2017), and will be available on the Nintendo Switch on May 12, 2023.

After development of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was finished, development of its sequel began in 2017. The game was revealed as a Breath of the Wild sequel at E3 2019. Nintendo unveiled a trailer at E3 2021 that included gameplay, plot details, and a 2022 release date, but changed the date later to Q2 2023. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was subsequently given a release date of May 12, 2023, and additional information were revealed during the Nintendo Direct presentation held in September 2022. Many people referred to the game as Breath of the Wild 2 before the title was revealed.
