Nintendo has released update version 1.0.2 for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, addressing several progression bugs, save-related problems, and gameplay issues affecting Mii interactions. The patch also includes fixes for local play functionality and a handful of unusual character behavior issues.
A major focus of the update is resolving cases in which save data can become corrupted during specific relationship events or while managing island progression. Nintendo also corrected a few smaller but noticeable gameplay quirks, including an incorrect treasure image and issues involving Mii emotions.
Fixed Issues
- Fixed an issue where the game could stop progressing after players extensively developed their island
- Fixed an issue where changing a house exterior at the Palette House could sometimes prevent progression
- Fixed an issue where successful Mii confessions could trigger a false “save data is corrupted” message, preventing saving
- Fixed an issue where save data corruption messages could appear after multiple Mii characters started living together
- Fixed a rare scene transition error that could cause the game to stop unexpectedly
- Fixed an issue where the wishing fountain could be stored using Island Builder but could not be placed again afterward
- Fixed an issue preventing wishes from being granted after the wishing fountain was removed
- Fixed an issue where a Mii character’s crush on another Mii would disappear after failing to reconcile following a fight
- Fixed an issue where a Mii character would not recover even after Sadness was depleted
- Fixed an issue preventing players from sending and receiving items through local play
- Corrected the treasure image for the “sugar glider,” which previously displayed the southern flying squirrel incorrectly
- Added additional fixes to improve the overall gameplay experience
Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream launched worldwide on April 16, 2026, for Nintendo Switch with compatibility for its successor hardware. Developed and published by Nintendo, the social simulation title expands on the Tomodachi formula with new customization features, deeper relationship systems, and dream-focused island events.
