Turok: Origins has received an extended version of its story trailer following its appearance at Gamescom Opening Night Live. Saber Interactive and Universal Products and Experiences have offered a longer look at the upcoming sci-fi shooter, which is scheduled to launch in Spring 2027.
Turok: Origins will take players to the Lost Lands, where the Order of the Turok is fighting to protect humanity from the Xenia. The new trailer provides a closer look at the threats facing the game’s heroes as they battle dinosaurs and alien forces across different worlds.
The game puts players in control of members of the mystical Order of the Turok, who possess powerful abilities and are caught in a war for humanity’s survival. Combat can be played from either a first-person or third-person perspective, with players able to switch between powerful weapons and special abilities.
Players will be able to tackle the campaign alone or team up with friends through online co-op. Battles will include dinosaurs, alien enemies and large boss encounters that require players to combine their combat abilities and tactics.
The arsenal includes futuristic weapons such as plasma rifles, sniper weapons, bows and shotguns, alongside experimental technology originating from the game’s alien forces. Players can also collect Echoes and use them to unlock abilities and customise their approach to combat.
Exploration will take players through a variety of environments within the Lost Lands, including ancient ruins, dense jungles and alien landscapes. The world will also contain hidden locations and secrets connected to the mysteries surrounding the Lost Lands.
Turok: Origins is being positioned as a modern continuation of the classic dinosaur-hunting franchise. Saber Interactive is developing the game for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
The game is scheduled to launch in Spring 2027. Turok: Origins is currently available to wishlist on Steam, the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with the Nintendo Switch 2 version also confirmed.
