Twitch and YouTube partner on Apex Legends, Thordan Smash, is “75% sure” that Titanfall 3 is currently in development at Respawn Entertainment.
Thordan Smash, Twitch and YouTube partner on Apex Legends and Helldivers, took to Twitter/X to share that, after talking to a few sources (including insider YOROTSUKI_), he’s around 75% sure that development on Titanfall 3 is currently underway. Based on what he’s heard, there’s a playable version of the unannounced first-person shooter in circulation.

The streamer is unaware of a release window or schedule for Titanfall 3, but he is quite sure that the game exists and that it is in active development at Respawn Entertainment.
Earlier this month, known Apex Legends leaker Osvaldatore had claimed that Titanfall 3 will be a live service game with Extraction being the main mode. It was also said that the game will feature seasonal content and battle passes. The insider claimed that the unannounced first-person shooter will feature a single-player campaign. The game is allegedly being worked on in Unreal Engine 5, and development is said to be nearly complete. As per the leaker, Titanfall 3 will also offer additional game modes, including Team Death Match, Control, Arenas, and “all Titanfall 2 classic modes”.
Furthermore, the leaker shared that some of the characters featured in Apex Legends will also be making an appearance in the alleged sequel to Titanfall 3. The game is also said to include a real-time weather system, though there was no mention of dynamic time of day.
According to industry insider Jeff Grubb, the recent cancellation of Respawn Entertainment’s first-person shooter project had nothing to do with Titanfall. He further mentioned that Titanfall 1 and 2 director Steve Fukuda had led a new initiative, though it was still in the prototyping phase at the time. He emphasized that this approach aligns with Respawn Entertainment’s development strategy, where projects undergo extensive experimentation before full production begins.
