Until Dawn Remake Download Size & Pre-Load Now Available
The download size for Sony Interactive Entertainment and Ballistic Moon’s Until Dawn remake has been revealed, and the pre-load is now available.
The Until Dawn remake is now available for pre-load on PS5, and, as a result, the game’s download size has also been revealed. The interactive drama horror game will take up a decent chunk of storage space on the console. Those with limited available space on the internal storage drive are advised to clear up some space in advance. It goes without saying that internal SSD expansion options are available for those who need them.

For those wondering, in terms of size, the new version of the interactive drama horror title is around 10 GB more than the original PS4 game, which weighed in at 46.770 GB. Those who have pre-ordered a digital copy of the Until Dawn remake can pre-load the game starting today, on September 27, 2024. The digital pre-load should come with the latest update pre-installed, although a day one update may be rolled out closer to launch on October 4, 2024. Meanwhile, those who purchased a physical copy of the game will need to download the day one update.
A comparison between the original Until Dawn and the remake reveals that the character models are now a lot more detailed, with their facial expressions showing the stressful conditions that they go through in a more convincing manner. Dirt and sweat are also visible on the faces of the characters, which further adds to the tension. The environments also looks noticeably better now, and the new lighting system allows for more realistic shadows.
The Until Dawn remake is set for release on both PS5 and PC. The PC version will require a PSN account.
