WWE 2K23 is available for both PS4 and PS5. The main difference between the consoles is performance and visuals.
WWE 2K23 is a cross-generation game, and unlike NBA 2K23, there doesn’t appear to be any major difference between the PS4 and PS5. The visuals are a big improvement on the PS5 compared to the PS4, and the game runs at 60 FPS on the PS5, compared to 30 FPS on the PS4. Other differences are purely minor, so there is not much to add here.
The first noticeable difference is in the lighting and character models. WWE 2K23 has great-looking character models that resemble their real-life counterparts. While they may not be as realistic as NBA 2K23, they still look good. On the PS4, the lighting and model quality is toned down, and the crowd density is also lower on the stages. Reflections are also another visual effect that is missing from the PS4 version.
There doesn’t appear to be any major difference between the consoles in terms of gameplay. The PS5 runs the game at a solid 60 FPS, while the PS4 has to settle for 30 FPS. If you are playing on the PS4, the game renders at a 1080p resolution, while on the PS4 Pro and PS5, it renders at a 4K resolution. The load times are also faster on the PS5 thanks to its SSD.
WWE 2K23 features several new and exciting gameplay features. Wargames, a fan-favorite game mode, will be introduced, allowing players to battle it out in 3v3 and 4v4 matches inside two side-by-side rings surrounded by a double-steel cage. The brand-new Universe Mode puts players in charge of every aspect of WWE, including managing superstar rosters and deciding on weekly feuds, champions, and even premium live events. MyFACTION allows players to collect and upgrade cards of WWE Superstars and Legends to build the ultimate faction, while MyRISE provides the perfect platform to shape a career as a WWE Superstar. Finally, MyGM allows players to take the reins of a weekly show, competing against rival general managers for brand supremacy.
WWE 2K23 is out now for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.
