Diablo 4 PS5 vs Xbox Series vs PC Comparison: Which Platform Is Best
The Diablo 4 beta is now available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. If you’re wondering which version manages to stay ahead of its competitor in terms of resolution and frame rate, read ahead.
Diablo 4 features only one graphics mode across PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S, while the PC version offers higher graphical settings for more capable systems. In terms of graphical settings, the console versions appear to be largely similar to each other.
In terms of image quality, both the PS5 and Xbox Series X run the game at a native 4K (2160p) Meanwhile, the native resolution is lower on Xbox Series S, running at 1440p.
In terms of performance, the game targets a frame rate of 60fps on all three consoles, and largely does a good job of maintaining the target. However, there are instances of stuttering in all versions, likely due to assets loading in the background. The PS5 version fares worst in these instances, with the highest frame time spikes.
As far as load times are concerned, all three of the PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S take a little under 6 seconds to load. Meanwhile, the PC version loads a bit faster in 5 and a half seconds.
All in all, all console versions deliver a good overall experience, though the Xbox Series X is impacted the least during instances of stuttering. The PC version is capable of going further, with higher graphical settings and frame rates higher than 60fps.
