WWE 2K26 is reportedly set to launch on March 13, 2026, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version releasing on the same day, according to information shared by Billbil-kun on Dealabs.
As the next annual entry in the WWE 2K series approaches, the game’s official social media accounts have already begun teasing its upcoming reveal. The publisher has also unveiled covers for multiple editions, including the Attitude Era, Monday Night War, and King of Kings editions, signaling that a full announcement is imminent.
Based on Billbil-kun’s findings, WWE 2K26 will be available digitally on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch 2. In addition, physical versions are planned for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Switch 2. However, the Switch 2 physical release is expected to be a “code-in-box” package, meaning it will not include a game cartridge, similar to how WWE 2K25 was distributed on Nintendo platforms.
One of the more notable elements of the report is confirmation that Switch 2 owners will have access to WWE 2K26 at launch. This would differ from WWE 2K25, which did not receive a day-one release on Nintendo’s new hardware. The inclusion of Switch 2 alongside current-generation consoles suggests a broader platform strategy for the upcoming installment.
At the same time, Billbil-kun indicates that the status of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions remains unclear. According to the report, no metadata has been identified linking WWE 2K26 to either last-generation platform. As a result, it is currently uncertain whether the game will release on PS4 and Xbox One at all.
Further clarity is expected soon, as WWE 2K26 is scheduled for a formal announcement and the start of pre-orders on Friday, January 30, 2026. Billbil-kun also notes that this announcement may confirm whether Triple H is indeed the cover star for the Standard Edition.
