Microsoft has announced the first wave of Xbox Game Pass additions for January 2026, delivering a broad mix of new releases, major third-party titles, and returning classics across console, PC, cloud, and handheld platforms. The lineup is led by Star Wars Outlaws and Resident Evil Village, alongside several titles arriving day one on the service.

The update begins immediately with the addition of Brews and Bastards, available today for cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. The twin stick shooter centers on fast-paced combat and exaggerated fantasy themes, with players choosing from a roster of unlikely heroes as they battle through enemy-filled stages in pursuit of a stolen artifact. Also available today is Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, which brings the original atmospheric adventure back with visual upgrades, including 4K resolution and 60 FPS support, across cloud, PC, handheld, and Xbox Series X|S.

Several new titles arrive on January 7 for Game Pass Premium subscribers. Atomfall launches across cloud, console, handheld, and PC, placing players in a fictional quarantine zone inspired by the aftermath of the Windscale nuclear disaster in Northern England. The survival action experience emphasizes exploration, scavenging, crafting, and player choice in a setting shaped by mystery, cult activity, and government secrecy. On the same day, Lost in Random The Eternal Die introduces a standalone story set in the same universe as the original game, combining real-time action, tactical decision-making, and dice-driven mechanics. Rematch also launches January 7, offering a team-based football experience designed around 5v5 online play, with direct player control and uninterrupted matches that remove traditional rules such as fouls and offsides.

Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine Master Crafted Edition also joins the service on January 7. This enhanced version updates the original action title with graphical improvements and quality of life enhancements, allowing players to step into the role of a Space Marine and fight through large-scale battles against Ork forces.

On January 8, the original Final Fantasy arrives on Game Pass for cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. This version presents a remodeled 2D approach to the classic role-playing game, retaining its original story while improving accessibility and presentation.

One of the most notable additions of the month arrives January 13 with Star Wars Outlaws, available on cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. Set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, the game offers an open-world Star Wars experience focused on scoundrel Kay Vess and her companion Nix, as players navigate criminal syndicates and planetary locations across the galaxy in search of freedom and opportunity.

Additional titles follow later in the month. My Little Pony A Zephyr Heights Mystery arrives January 15 across all platforms, offering a cooperative, friendly mystery adventure built around character abilities, minigames, and customization. On January 20, Resident Evil Village joins the Game Pass library, bringing the eighth mainline entry in Capcom’s survival horror series to cloud, console, and PC. Set after the events of Resident Evil 7, the game follows Ethan Winters into a remote European village filled with hostile enemies and unsettling mysteries.

Also launching day one on January 20 is MIO Memories in Orbit, a handcrafted metroidvania coming to cloud, handheld, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. Players take control of an android named Mio, exploring a decaying world overtaken by nature and machines while uncovering lost memories through combat and exploration.

Microsoft also confirmed that several games will leave Xbox Game Pass on January 15. Flintlock The Siege of Dawn, Neon White, Road 96, The Ascent, and The Grinch Christmas Adventures will be removed from the library, though subscribers can purchase them at a discount before they depart.

The January Wave 1 lineup continues Xbox Game Pass’s momentum into the new year, combining major releases, day one launches, and genre variety across its subscription tiers.
