IO Interactive has announced that the first free DLC for 007 First Light will arrive on October 1, giving players the first addition to the game’s planned post-launch content roadmap.
The developer teased the upcoming content through the official 007 First Light social media account, stating that “A free DLC is just around the bend” and telling players to tune in on October 1.
007 First Light Year One Content
IO Interactive has already outlined an extensive first year of post-launch support for 007 First Light. The roadmap includes regular Tactical Simulation updates alongside new missions, locations, enemies, weapons, gadgets, cosmetics, vehicles and gameplay scenarios.
Players will return to locations including Kensington, Slovakia, Mauritania and Vietnam as part of the planned content. The additional scenarios will include new driving and combat challenges, as well as an investigation involving mysterious technology and a potentially dangerous new enemy.
IO Interactive also plans to introduce leaderboard challenges and additional intel throughout the first year, while the studio is exploring a New Game Plus mode to provide further replayability.
007 First Light has reportedly sold more than 4 million copies within one week of launch. The game is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, while the Nintendo Switch 2 version has been delayed to 2027 following additional optimisation work.
The Switch 2 version is expected to include the full game and its post-launch content when it eventually arrives on Nintendo’s platform.
