IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios have unveiled the Year One content roadmap for 007 First Light, outlining a slate of post-launch updates while confirming that the James Bond adventure has surpassed 2.7 million copies sold within its first week on the market.
The developer’s plans for the game’s first year include new story content, additional Tactical Simulation missions, fresh locations to explore, and a range of gameplay updates designed to expand the experience over time. The announcement comes just one week after the title’s launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, and other digital storefronts.
A major focus of the roadmap is the continued expansion of the game’s Tactical Simulation mode. Upcoming updates will revisit several locations from the main campaign while introducing new objectives and challenges. Players will return to Kensington’s Workshop area and the mountainous regions of Slovakia, where driving-focused missions featuring the Aston Martin Valhalla are planned.
Additional content will take Bond back to Mauritania’s black market district in Aleph, where new off-road driving encounters await. Another mission will revisit The Pearl resort in Vietnam, which has reportedly fallen under the control of a new hostile force. Elsewhere, MI6 intelligence points toward hidden technology linked to Webb Industries, leading Bond into an investigation that could uncover a dangerous new adversary.
The roadmap also includes a story-focused DLC centered on Bawma, the Pirate King portrayed by musician and actor Lenny Kravitz. Set after the events in Mauritania, the expansion sees MI6 entering an unlikely partnership with Bawma, who seeks assistance with a sensitive matter requiring Bond’s direct involvement.
To aid players in these upcoming missions, Q Branch is developing a new gadget known as the Even G2 display smart glasses from Even Realities. According to the announcement, the device will introduce new gameplay possibilities as future content rolls out.
Beyond the headline additions, IO Interactive plans to support the game with regular updates throughout the year. These updates are expected to include new weapons, gadget enhancements, leaderboard challenges, enemy types, cosmetics, returning vehicles, additional intelligence reports, and new gameplay scenarios. The studio also revealed that it is exploring the possibility of adding a New Game+ mode to further increase replay value for the campaign.
The developer also confirmed that 007 First Light will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 later this summer. The upcoming version will feature the full game and support both handheld and docked play.
007 First Light is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, with the Nintendo Switch 2 release scheduled for Summer 2026.
