Alan Wake 2 Update 1.16 Drops Today, Adds Night Springs Expansion

Remedy Entertainment has released a new update 1.16 for Alan Wake 2 (01.100.000 or 01.000.018 for PS5) which brings a new expansion to the game.

They had recently announced Night Springs, an expansion that added new playable characters with their own story set in the world of Alan Wake 2. The update is out now for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series S|X consoles.

The download size of this update should be around 7.8 GB. This bumps the final game size to over 85 GB. The file size might vary depending on your region.

The update includes significant new content such as the Night Springs Expansion and the addition of Photo Mode, allowing players to capture and share their in-game moments. The number of manual save slots has been increased from three to six, providing more flexibility for players. Additionally, PC users now have support for Razer Chroma, enhancing the gaming experience with customizable lighting effects. Various improvements have been made to game stability, audio synchronization, and lighting, alongside multiple minor fixes to ensure a smoother and more enjoyable gameplay experience.

  • UI Prompts Issue: Fixed an issue that would display Saga’s Mind Place UI prompts when loading into a session with Alan, which was not an intended feature.
  • [PC] Ultrawide Monitor Issues: Fixed multiple instances of camera clipping issues on ultrawide monitors.
