Little Big Planet 3 Update 1.27 Adds 10 Million Levels, Brings Servers Back Online

by Salal Awan

Media Molecule has released a new update for Little Big Planet 3 that has brought back the 10 million community levels and servers online on the PS4.

Little Big Planet servers were offline on almost all platforms. The first three games are available on the PS3 while a Vita version of Little Big Planet was also released by Tarsier Studios. All of these games were offline for an extended period of time. This issue also affected the Little Big Planet 3 servers on the PS4.

In a bid to solve this issue, Media Molecule has pushed out a new update 1.27 today on PS4. This also comes with good and bad news.

The good news is that after this update on the PS4, users will be able to download the 10 million levels that were created by the Little Big Planet community. The bad news is that starting today, the servers for Little Big Planet games on the PS3 and PS Vita are permanently taken offline. The game still lives on the PS4 though, so there’s some home for it.

Here is the statement shared by Media Molecule.

LittleBigPlanet Service Update
Hello Firstly, we would like to apologise for the extended downtime of the LittleBigPlanet server and want to thank you all for your patience whilst we worked on this issue. The good news is that we have just launched Game Update 1.27 and brought the LittleBigPlanet server (and all 10,000,000+ Community Levels!!) back online for PlayStation 4 users!
Unfortunately, we need to permanently shut down our online services for: LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet 3 (PS3) and LittleBigPlanet PS Vita.
We have no doubt that this news will come as a big disappointment to a lot of you, ultimately this is the best way to protect the LittleBigPlanet community and to help ensure that our online environment remains safe.
Thank you for being a wonderful community and for your continued love and support of all things Sackboy.

Little Big Planet 3 is available on the PS3 and PS4. It can be played through backward compatibility on the PS5.
