Square Enix has announced the release date for Neo: The World Ends With You for PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch confirming it is out in July.
Neo: The World Ends With You is the successor to The World Ends With You that originally launched for the Nintendo DS and was ported to the Nintendo Switch and Smartphones. The sequel will be out on additional platforms including the PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
To celebrate the announcement of the release date, Square Enix has also shared a new trailer confirming that the game will launch on July 27.
The story of Neo: The World Ends With You takes place in Shibuya, Tokyo. Some of the landmarks may be familiar, but the city itself is rendered in an anime-inspired architectural style. It is there that the player must try to unravel the mysteries surrounding the sinister Reapers’ Game, a life-or-death survival fight in which they are compelled to participate.
You and your band of friends will be battling the Noise in combat as you discover Shibuya and play in the Reaper’s Game. Rindo can see these enemies using scanning, which is one of the game’s most basic psych skills. Scanning also reveals what Shibuya residents are thinking about. Scanning often is a good idea because you could come across some useful details.
Neo: The World Ends With You will be out on July 27 and release for PS4 and Nintendo Switch. It is also confirmed for PC through the Epic Games Store.
