Season 1 for EA and Battlefield Studios’ first-person shooter, Battlefield 6, will be accompanied by an additional content drop, according to a new datamine.

According to a new datamine (via Twitter/X user ModernWarzone) of the EA App, a new content drop for Battlefield 6 that is not part of Season 1 is set for release on the same day i.e. October 28, 2025.

Battlefield 6 season 1

As per the lines of code in the EA App, the unannounced DLC that will accompany Battlefield 6 Season 1 is codenamed”Granite”. As of writing, no further details are available on the type of content it will bring, though it is believed to be the game’s Battle Royale mode.

For the uninitiated, Battlefield 6 Season 1 will bring new modes, maps, weapons, weapon attachments, vehicles, features, and more. There will be 3 new maps, namely Blackwell Fields, Eastwood, and Ice Lock Empire State.

Blackwell Fields is a massive oil field in the California chaparral. The All-Out Warfare map is set in a desert landscape that catches fire easily as helicopters, planes, and tanks fight over the vast area. Blackwell Fields provides a lot of open space, with rolling hills and low brush that are great for snipers to set up camp. Vehicles also have plenty of room to maneuver on their way to different objectives. The map supports land and air vehicles, all combat sizes.

Eastwood is located in a Southern California town, where the fighting takes place in the streets and through the houses. Its suburban landscape offers a lot of locations for intense skirmishes, with battles fought in and out of living rooms and through drained pools and back yards as tanks shred high-end homes. A wide-open golf course means you’ll need to take care not to get sighted by enemy troops as you move, but there’s still a whole lot of variety. The map supports land vehicles and helicopters, all combat sizes.

Battlefield 6 is available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC.
