The Blood of Dawnwalker will launch with a 60 FPS Performance Mode on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro and Xbox Series X, with the option being added through the game’s Day 1 patch.
Developer Rebel Wolves previously confirmed that the console versions would launch with Quality and Balanced modes, targeting 30 FPS and 40 FPS respectively. The studio has now confirmed that Performance Mode was already in development but had not yet completed testing when the initial performance details were announced.
“The Blood of #Dawnwalker will receive a Performance Mode targeting 60 FPS on PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X on Day 1 through the launch patch,” the developer said.
Rebel Wolves explained that it had been working on the mode but did not want to promise a 60 FPS option before completing the necessary testing. Following feedback from players, the studio prioritised another round of testing and said the results gave it enough confidence to confirm the mode for launch.
The previously announced Quality mode targets Dynamic 4K resolution at 30 FPS on PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X. Balanced mode targets Dynamic 4K at 40 FPS, while the PS5 Pro also receives enhanced visual quality across both modes.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is scheduled to launch on September 3, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam. Rebel Wolves has yet to provide performance details for Xbox Series S.
