Activision has an official FAQ detailing the various difference between the digital editions of the game. They also confirmed the features that will be a part of the PS5 and Xbox Series X version. According to Activision, while the game will be playable through backward compatibility on Xbox Series X and PS5, players won’t be able to benefit from “higher framerate, hardware based ray-tracing, and faster load times.”
It is unclear what they mean with a higher frame rate here since Call of Duty series runs at 60 FPS on the current generation consoles. Some of the developers have confirmed 120 FPS for their games including Dirt 5, however, it is unclear if similar support will be offered for the PS5 and Xbox Series X version of the game.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was a massive game while Call of Duty: Warzone was even larger with a file size that has now exceeded 200 GB. Black Ops Cold War seems like it lies somewhere in the middle, as per the Microsoft Store listing. The file size of the game is listed as 100.04 GB which likely doesn’t include any of the updates that might drop with the launch of the game.
The game will be out on November 13, 2020, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It is also confirmed to launch for PS5 and Xbox Series X.
