Capcom sold 36.86 million game units worldwide during the first half of fiscal 2026, up from 23.85 million in the same period last year, with older releases accounting for most of the total. The company reported sales across 260 titles in 239 countries and regions between April and September 2026.

Back-catalogue games accounted for 32.18 million units, compared with 22.85 million a year earlier. New releases contributed approximately 4.68 million units, up from around 1 million during the previous year’s first half.

Among its newer titles, PRAGMATA has sold more than 2.7 million units since its April 2026 launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2. The sci-fi action-adventure received an Award for Excellence and the Breakthrough Award at the Japan Game Awards 2026.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword, the first new mainline entry in the series in more than 20 years, has surpassed 1.7 million units across the same four platforms. It also received two awards at the Gamescom Awards 2026. According to Capcom, cumulative sales for the Onimusha series have now reached 11 million units.

Older releases continued to generate substantial sales for the publisher. Resident Evil Requiem, which launched in February 2026, has sold more than 8 million units, with Capcom crediting pricing measures for helping sustain demand. The game also received an Award for Excellence at the Japan Game Awards.

Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 2 continued contributing to catalogue sales, while Devil May Cry 5 surpassed 14 million units sold worldwide. Capcom attributed the latter’s continued performance to pricing measures, its June release on Nintendo Switch 2 and the second season of its animated adaptation, which began streaming on Netflix in May.

The Monster Hunter catalogue also benefited from renewed interest following the announcement of a 2027 release window for Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, an expansion for Monster Hunter Wilds. Capcom has confirmed that both titles are planned for Nintendo Switch 2.

Meanwhile, Street Fighter 6 continues to receive support through competitive gaming initiatives. The Capcom Pro Tour 2026 began in May, alongside new team leagues in Japan and across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
