Concord PS5 vs PC Graphics Comparison

The multiplayer beta for Sony Interactive Entertainment and Firewalk Studios’ first-person shooter, Concord, was available to play on PS5 and PC over the weekend. If you’re interested in knowing how both versions stack up against each other, read ahead.

The PC version of Concord offers a few improvements over the PS5 version, including better shadows, ambient occlusion, and anisotropic filtering. In addition, the PC version comes with support for ultra wide displays and image reconstruction via DLSS and FSR, as well as Frame Generation.

In terms of image quality, the PS5 version of Concord is upscaled from a native resolution of 1440p to 4K (2160p) using temporal reconstruction. Meanwhile, the PC has the option to deliver native 4K on capable hardware. In addition, better image reconstruction options like DLSS and FSR are available on the platform.

With regards to performance, the PS5 version of Concord targets and consistently runs at a frame rate of 60 fps. The PC version offers the option to play at higher frame rates, and it also supports Frame Generation via DLSS3 and FSR3 to smooth out any visual inconsistencies due to fluctuations n performance.

All in all, the PC version of Concord offers some noteworthy improvements over the PS5 version in terms of resolution and frame rate. It also adds some worthwhile features, including support for better image reconstruction techniques, like DLSS, and FSR, as well as ultra wide screens.

Concord is set to release for PlayStation 5 and Windows on August 23, 2024. It is a sci-fi player-versus-player hero shooter played from a first-person perspective. It includes various alien characters with different abilities, such as robot legs for high jumps and diamond skin for enhanced damage absorption. Game mechanics in Concord include special equipment such as healing pads and trip mines that persist between deaths and across rounds.
