Remedy Entertainment has confirmed that the 48-hour early access period for Control Resonant will be exclusive to PlayStation 5.
The confirmation came from Remedy Communications Director Thomas Puha on social media. Responding to a fan who asked whether the game’s 48-hour early access offer was limited to Sony’s platform, Puha gave a brief reply, stating: “Yes.”
The exchange followed a message from a fan expressing excitement for the upcoming title and asking about the availability of early access across platforms. While Remedy has not shared additional details regarding the arrangement, Puha’s response confirms that players on PlayStation 5 will be the only ones able to access the game two days ahead of its official launch.
Control Resonant, previously known as Control 2, is scheduled to launch on September 24, 2026, for PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Developed and published by Remedy Entertainment, the action role-playing game serves as a direct sequel to the original Control.
The sequel shifts the focus to Dylan Faden, who is released from Federal Bureau of Control confinement amid a large-scale crisis. Players will explore a paranaturally distorted Manhattan and take part in melee-oriented combat using a shape-shifting weapon capable of manipulating reality as they confront a threat that could transform the city.
