Control Resonant Sells 1 Million Copies, Remedy Confirms

Remedy Entertainment has confirmed that Control Resonant has sold 1 million copies worldwide. The developer shared the milestone on social media with an image celebrating the game’s sales, following its release on September 24, 2026.

Control Resonant is an action RPG sequel to 2019’s Control, shifting the focus from Federal Bureau of Control Director Jesse Faden to her brother, Dylan Faden. The story follows Dylan as he faces a paranatural threat across a distorted version of Manhattan, with gravity-defying environments and supernatural abilities forming part of the gameplay.

Developed and self-published by Remedy Entertainment, Control Resonant is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC. The game uses the studio’s Northlight engine and builds on the original’s supernatural action with expanded ability progression and movement mechanics.

The milestone comes as Remedy continues to develop the Control franchise. The original Control, released in 2019, has sold more than 6 million copies. Remedy also acquired the full intellectual property rights to the franchise from 505 Games for €17 million in 2024.
