Pearl Abyss has delayed the release of Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown by two weeks, moving the upcoming DLC from October 15 to October 29, 2026. The developer announced the delay through the game’s official social media channels, citing the need for additional development time.
The studio said it is working on Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown to deliver new adventures in Pywel, but determined that more time was required to provide a polished and stable gameplay experience.
“We know many of you have been looking forward to returning to the game and we sincerely apologize for the longer wait,” the Crimson Desert team said. “We will use the additional time to further refine the content and do our utmost to deliver the best experience we can.”
Crimson Desert Charting The Unknown
Charting the Unknown is an upcoming expansion for Crimson Desert that is set to add new content across Pywel. The previously announced DLC is expected to introduce naval combat, underwater exploration, expanded base-building and new story chapters across land and sea.
The expansion will now launch on October 29, 2026, with Pearl Abyss using the additional two weeks to refine the content ahead of release.
Crimson Desert launched on March 19, 2026, for macOS, PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X|S. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is also scheduled for early 2027.
