Cuphead fans who already have the game on Xbox One or PC can enjoy a brand new update today which brings their old copies up-to-date with the new features of the Nintendo Switch version.
Cuphead is available for the Nintendo Switch starting today. It is not just a port that has been released for the Nintendo Switch but there are some new features added on top of it. All of these new additions will make their way to the Xbox One and PC version retroactively and the update that has added them today is now live on these platforms.
Cuphead’s new update on April 18 is a pretty major one. It will add a new playable character in the form of Mugman, integrate new fully animated cutscenes for the story instead of the static screens that were used in the past. It also includes some bug fixes but details on them weren’t shared by the developers.
If you are running out of hard disk space, the good news is that despite these additions, the game size has been reduced from 11 GB to 4 GB as per the early user reports. New languages have been added to the game as well and some of the animation and player intros have been improved with this update.
Here is a brief overview of the changes that have been implemented with Cuphead’s update on April 18. They are also a part of the Nintendo Switch version at launch.
