Dave the Diver has officially surpassed 10 million copies sold worldwide, marking another major milestone for Mintrocket’s popular hybrid adventure and restaurant management game.
Mintrocket thanked players for helping the game reach the milestone, saying, “We couldn’t have reached this milestone without you!” The developer also teased the game’s future with the message, “Here’s to 10 million, and whatever comes next!”
Dave the Diver combines deep-sea exploration with restaurant management. Players control Dave as he explores the mysterious Blue Hole during the day to collect ingredients, before helping chef Bancho operate a sushi restaurant at night.
The game combines 2D pixel-art characters with 3D underwater environments and has earned widespread acclaim for its gameplay loop, humor, mini-games and RPG-style progression.
Following its 1.0 release in June 2023, Dave the Diver became a major commercial success. It surpassed 1 million copies sold within two weeks, with its popularity on Steam helping drive its initial growth.
The game’s expansion to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation platforms further increased its audience, with cumulative sales eventually reaching 10 million copies worldwide.
