Days Gone PS5 Patch 1.025.717 Adds Balanced Mode, VRR Support, and Audio Enhancements

by Salal Awan

Bend Studio has released patch 1.025.717 for the PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro versions of Days Gone, bringing notable performance and visual enhancements to the game. The update introduces a new “Balanced” graphics mode, offering an optimal blend of resolution and frame rate. For PS5 users, this mode targets 40 FPS at 1800p, while PS5 Pro players receive a 4K output using PSSR at the same frame rate. These improvements are available only on displays that support 120Hz. Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) is also now enabled, but must be activated via the system settings.

Alongside these graphical updates, the patch delivers broader improvements in performance, input responsiveness, and crash stability. The developers have also addressed a variety of audio issues, improving sound mixing, weapon effects, dialogue clarity, and enemy audio presence. Controls have been refined, particularly in gyro aiming, and the Horde Assault mode has received fixes to navigation and looping audio bugs for extended play sessions.
