Drop Fake has officially revealed DCKO, a new mobile fighting game featuring characters from across the DC Universe. Scheduled to launch on iOS and Android in 2027, the officially licensed title will include 2-on-2 tag team battles, story-driven PvE content and live real-time PvP, marking the first time a DC mobile fighting game has offered real-time player-versus-player matches.
The DCKO mobile fighting game is being developed by a newly formed studio led by developers behind one of the most successful mobile fighting games to date. Licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on behalf of DC, the game focuses on fast-paced arcade combat that is easy to pick up while still offering room for advanced strategies through team composition, combo chains and tactical assists.
Players will be able to build teams of DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains, with confirmed characters including Batman, Robin, Wonder Woman, Constantine, Superman and Nightwing. Every fighter can be used in both single-player and online multiplayer modes, allowing players to experiment with different combinations and playstyles.
Online competition is built around live PvP battles, where players can face opponents from around the world, climb leaderboards and strengthen their roster over time. Characters can unlock new abilities and stat upgrades, while teams can be customised to suit different approaches, whether that means relying on powerful close-range attacks or faster damage-focused fighters.
Creative Director Gene Campbell said the studio wanted DCKO to push mobile fighting games forward by introducing live multiplayer, a feature the team considers central to the genre. He added that the developers hope to support a competitive community and plan to share more details in the future.
Away from multiplayer, DCKO also includes a dedicated PvE mode with an original storyline. Players will battle enemies including Ra’s al Ghul’s League of Assassins, Amazo’s robot army and Trigon’s demon forces while earning currency and experience to improve their characters before taking them into online matches.
The game also introduces a “Neo-Comic” visual style inspired by DC comic books, featuring bold outlines, vibrant colours and stylised super move animations. Battles take place in recognisable locations such as Themyscira, the Batcave and the Lazarus Pits, while additional costume variants based on DC’s history can be unlocked or purchased as players progress.
DCKO is set to launch for iOS and Android in 2027. Pre-registration is now available through the game’s official website, with players able to sign up for access to an upcoming beta.
