A new rumor surrounding Dead by Daylight’s upcoming anniversary event has started making the rounds after an anniversary trailer reportedly appeared online ahead of schedule.
As highlighted by users on the LeaksDbD subreddit, the trailer was exactly 13 seconds long before being taken down. According to posts about the footage, the video reportedly reused an older trailer and was edited down to a much shorter clip.
Fans quickly began speculating that the 13-second runtime may have been intentional. Behaviour Interactive has previously been known to tease upcoming licensed content through hidden references and subtle hints, leading some players to believe the number could point toward Friday the 13th and the possible arrival of Jason Voorhees.
At the moment, Behaviour Interactive has not officially commented on the rumor or confirmed any crossover plans related to Friday the 13th.
Dead by Daylight originally launched on June 14, 2016, and was developed and published by Behaviour Interactive. The asymmetric multiplayer horror game is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
The game pits one player in the role of a killer against four survivors attempting to repair generators and escape the map before they are hunted down and sacrificed to the Entity.
