The DLC price in the PC version of Behaviour Interactive’s online asymmetric multiplayer survival horror game, Dead by Daylight, has been raised to match the price on consoles.
The game’s official Twitter/X account has shared that, in order to support cross-progression, DLC pricing must be kept consistent across all platforms. Therefore, starting July 22, 2024, the price for each individual Chapter DLC for Dead by Daylight will be adjusted from $6.99 USD to $7.99 USD on PC platforms to match the existing console DLC prices.
List of Dead By Daylight PC DLC Affected By Price Hike
The full list of DLC for the PC version of Dead by Daylight that has been given a price hike can be seen below.
- All Things Wicked
- Sadako Rising
- Halloween
- Nightmare on Elm Street
- Saw
- Silent Hill
- Dungeons & Dragons Chapters
It certainly would have been a far more consumer-friendly decision to simply lower console prices to match those offered on PC version instead of raising them on PC to match the pricier console DLC. Nevertheless, PC users who wish to purchase the aforementioned DLC before the price hike can still do so at their current prices up until July 22, 2024. Those who primarily play on consoles may also benefit from this by making the purchase on PC and then carrying over the corresponding DLC to the console version via cross-progression.
